Gudrun jacket installed

The jacket for the Gudrun platform is now installed in the North Sea. This is the first stage in the large-scale installation work on the Gudrun field.

- Gudrun is an important project to us, says Managing Director Terje Overvik. - I am pleased to see that the first important milestone has been met in one of the current largest field developments on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The installation of the jacket started 24 July. On 2 August, the work securing the Gudrun jacket to the seabed was completed when the last of the twelve sixty meters long piles was installed. The installation work was performed by one of the world’s largest crane vessels, S7000.

The partners in Gudrun are Statoil 75% (operator) and GDF SUEZ E&P Norge 25%.
