GDF SUEZ E&P Norge has an ultimate goal to excel in HSE performance.
We believe that working together towards this common goal is the prerequisite for our success. Working together covers all dimensions that may impact HSE performance, giving us a holistic approach knowing that the whole is more than the sum of its parts. “Everybody needs somebody” summarises our way of working to obtain our goal in HSE.

This implies that we need to understand the relation between organisational culture and HSE, and making this understanding an integrated part of our daily work. We believe that this will lead to good HSE performance, and ultimately lead to overall good performance.
GDF SUEZ E&P Norge bases its work towards the ultimate goal of excellent HSE performance on the strategy to achieve top quartile HSE performance on the Norwegian Continental Shelf for all company operated activities. We measure this by the following main indicators as defined by the “Risk Level in the Petroleum Activity” project (RNNP):
- Indicator for major accidents
- Indicator for barriers against major accidents
- Indicator for serious occupational accidents
The numerical reference for each indicator will be detailed based on the results presented in the RNNP report.
