Gudrun

The Gudrun light oil and gas condensate discovery in the Sleipner area was successfully appraised in 2006.

The concept selection was made in 2009, and the plan for development and operation was approved in 2010. Drilling operations will start late 2011 and production start-up is expected in 2014.

The development concept consists of a processing platform tied back to the Sleipner field by separate oil and gas pipelines. Oil and condensate from Gudrun will be mixed with Sleipner liquids and transported to the Kårstø processing plant. The gas will be mixed with Sleipner gas and transported to the continent.

The 1982 Sigrun light oil discovery and the 2010 Brynhild oil and gas discovery, which are both in close proximity to the Gudrun structure, will be included in the Gudrun development plan.
