About us

GDF SUEZ E&P Norge is a wholly-owned affiliate of GDF SUEZ, and has been operating in Norway since 2001.

Our mission is to create value along the value chain by exploring for, developing, producing and transporting oil and gas on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Our vision is to be an upstream company on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, among the top ten players, respected for our operational and HSE performance.

Activities

Since entering Norway in 2001, we have steadily expanded our asset portfolio on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Our activities are currently concentrated on fields in production (Snøhvit, Njord and Fram), projects being developed (Gjøa) and projects being evaluated (Gudrun).

We have identified four focus areas for our future activities:

• Gjøa field development and operations
• Fram and Gjøa area exploration and development
• Snøhvit and Barents Sea exploration and development
• Norwegian Sea exploration and development

Organisation

Our organisation is divided into seven departments:

• Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
• Human Resources
• Communication and PR
• Finance and Administration
• Gas and Commercial
• Asset
• Exploration
• Operations.

Extensive recruitment is taking place to ready our organisation for taking over the operatorship of Gjøa in 2010. We are also recruiting for positions within the main organisation. Currently, we employ 160 staff, and we plan for further growth and recruitment in 2010.
